HSE Specialist (Environment & Quarantine)

We are currently recruiting a HSE Specialist (Environment & Quarantine) for a Major Oil & Gas operator on an initial 12-month contract in Perth, WA.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Development and management of technical projects including stakeholder consultation
•Coordinate and assist in the design of environmental studies to support routine monitoring, environmental impact assessment, and regulatory approvals
•Manage consultant scopes of work including field mobilisation and review of technical reports to assist with decision making
•Provide technical input in the development and revision of environmental approval documentation.

Key skills and experience:
•Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills are essential
•Tertiary qualification in environmental science or related discipline
• Experience working in both terrestrial and marine environments
•At least 10 years relevant work experience
•Demonstrated experience in managing contractors and environmental surveys, and reviewing technical reports
•Demonstrated experience or understanding of environmental approvals at State and Commonwealth levels
•Coxswain Grade 1 qualification beneficial but not essential
•Well-developed oral and written communication skills
•A commitment to health, environment and safety and the clients best practices.
