JOB SCOPE:
As a Hydraulic Fracturing Monitoring and Diagnostic Specialist, you will analyze in real-time the evolution and outcome of KPIs from each frac stage in horizontal wells with multiple hydraulic fractures with the purpose of incorporating
learnings into the next stage/well. You will have a close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team comprised of reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, geophysicists, geomechanics and frac design engineers with the purpose of
incorporating these lessons into the reservoir description. The goal is to develop relationships between actual well results and frac parameters.
You will also make use of pressure data in active hydraulic fracturing operations & passive offset well fracture driven interactions to help ascertain fracture dimensions, identify fracture behavior changes (e.g., stress shadow), etc.
This will also ultimately help reduce the impact and frequency of frac hits, characterize the inter well communication system to optimize frac design, well spacing and timing, as well as anticipating potential problems in reaching the
forecasted production even before bringing the wells online, thus manage expectations of well performance.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND REPONSIBILITIES:
• Measure intra-stage frac pressure declines and infer rock quality or presence of natural discontinuities between wells
• Perform “post frac stage pressure” fall-off analysis to estimate the fracture propagating pressure and fracture closure, and compare them againsts DFITs interpreted by the RE
• Synchronize pressure events in adjacent wells with pumping rates and times in the well under stimulation
• Help interpret sealed wellbore pressure monitoring tests
• Determine ISIP after each frac stage is performed
• Identify singularities in frac parameters while crossing benches/faults/discontinuities – help manage by exception and flag problematic areas across the wellbore
• Fracture driven interactions: assist in discriminating between hydraulic and poroelastic connections among wells
• Flag stress shadowing and potential on-the-fly changes in frac design
• Ascertain near wellbore tortuosity and cluster efficiency

Knowledge and Skills
• Proven experience in hydraulic fracturing field operations
• Proficient in hydraulic fracturing theory and practice
• Solid knowledge of geomechanics
• Interpretation of step rate down tests
• Advanced knowledge of PowerBI/Spotfire to be able to create, sustain and share dashboards while merging multiple sources of data
• Knowledge of Python scripting for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data and run basics calculations/data transforming
• Knowledge and previous experience with connecting to backend databases and Application Programming Interface (API) is a plus
• Exposure to WellDataLab and/or Corva are a plus
• Previous experience with Petrel is a plus
