NES Fircroft is currently looking to recruit a Industrial Relations Specialist on behalf of their petrochemical client.

This is a remote role with travel involved working 3 days per week.

The Industrial Relations Specialist will be required to put a training programme together in managing Industrial Relations to role out to Site Managers.
This will initially be a 3 month contract with a view to extend.

Candidates must have experience in the following;
  • Managing relationships with unions & ensuring that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
  • Experience of lead the strategic relationship between companies, the client and the trade unions on all matters relating to employee / industrial relations.
  • Developing IR Strategies to mitigate business risk.
  • Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
  • Coaching and Mentoring of Regional HR Business Partners to support solutions driven outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations
  • Strong experience in dealing with unions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
  • Ability to build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams.
  • A construction or project management background.
