Role - Instrument Construction Supervisor
Location - Seraing, Belgium

CANDIDATES MUST SPEAK ENGLISH AND FRENCH
  • The Instrument Construction Supervisor will assist the E&I lead engineer for construction in the supervision of all instrumentation activities and some basic electrical works in the framework of the construction of the power plant.
  • The supervision will cover the EPC activities as well as the interfaces and the activities with the workpackages.
  • Forming a team with the Electrical construction supervisor and the E&I lead, they will be fully dedicated to monitoring Contractors instrument and if required electrical works. Mostly working on the field, the team will verify / establish a control plan based on a risk analysis, comment Contractors Method of statements, Comment Inspection and Test plans, and then check that the quality of the works fulfills Contract’s requirements.
  • The Instrument Construction Supervisor will also check that work progress is in line with the Contract schedule and that safety of staff and equipment remains the first priority of the  Contractors.
  •  will support the Brownfield manager for all activities related to interfaces and brownfield.
  • will assure from the start of the project that information required for commissioning, start-up and final hand-over to site is well coordinated and organised by the EPC.
  • To this effect the ICS will audit, review and steer, if required the activities and preparations by the EPC in its particular field of expertise.
  • ICS will check and coordinate with the QA/QC department of the project, the quality of info provided in any form such as database or other for the requirements of activities during commissioning, start-up and final hand-over.
  • The quality needs to be verified in a way that transfer of information will facilitate a smooth transfer between the different project phases up and to the final conclusion of the project.
  • ICS will review the QAQC database to check that the foreseen checks are aligned with agreed ITEMS and the itemisation as per inspection plan
Experience required
  • Technical document review on wide range of instrument aspects
  • Good know-how of MS office. Autocad or PDMS is a plus.
  • Hands-on & dynamic
  • Engineering level with E&I background
  • Minimal 5 preferably 10 years of similar experience,  
  • Fluent in French – English
  • Experience in an Owner’s Engineer structure for a large infrastructure project
