EMM UK is now supporting a 3-year Frame Agreement that covers primarily Maintenance and Modification at Equinor's offshore platforms Heidrun, Njord A and B, Asgard A and B, Troll A, B and C, Heimdal, and Johan Sverdrup in the North Sea Norwegian sector, as well as the onshore facility at Tjeldbergodden (Norway) and is looking for engineering and design discipline Project personnel to join us.

We are looking for a Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.

What will you be doing?
  • Be involved in a wide variety of engineering scopes ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Minor/Major Modification and Maintenance Projects and other Specialist Services
  • Provide Instrumentation, F&G and Telecoms engineering services in a competent and efficient manner in compliance with relevant regulations, codes and standards
  • Implementing professional engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and completion activities maintaining quality at all times
  • Define the scopes of work required to align with clients’ requirements and provide input to budget estimates and planning to implement the scope
  • Be innovative in identifying technical solutions, prepare engineering concepts and develop into detail design
  • Be responsible for managing and coordinating Instrument, F&G and Telecoms packages with vendor and other disciplines, and provide input to multidiscipline equipment packages, and attend FAT’s.
  • Liaise with client and other stakeholders in the execution of the project scopes
  • Actively participating in assessments such as HAZOP, LOPA, design reviews etc
  • Assisting the Lead engineer where required and deputize during absences such as holiday and sickness etc.
  • Deliver work on Schedule and within Budget and in accordance with company procedures meeting the requirements of the project.
We think you should have:
  • BSC/HND level with 10 years of experience in front end studies, FEED and/or EPCI projects from energy sector
  • Broad competency within instrumentation
  • Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA reviews
  • Experience in the international engineering standards associated with this role
  • Solution oriented with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards preferred but not essential
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to see solutions together with meeting customer expectations and requirements
  • Willing to work in a hybrid structure with regular visits to the primary office
  • Willing to work in Norway initially to build up a competency in Aker Solutions systems & tools and to integrate with the core project team
