To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions is looking for an Instrumentation/Automation Engineer who can help us succeed.
What will you be doing?
Rosebank is a FPSO vessel. Now it’s at the stage to be moved from Norway to UK. Aker Solutions needs to make sure the current vessel and new equipment are connected properly to the main control system and make sure the whole system fulfills the new regulations in UK. As our new instrument/automation engineer, you will be working with other colleagues for Rosebank project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:

Start: Asap
Duration: 1 year initial contract with options for extensions

What will you be doing?

As our new instrument/automation engineer, you will be working with other colleagues for Rosebank project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:
- Be responsible for Cause and Effect and Instrument Indexes.
- Connect the new equipment to the main control system and make the whole system fulfill the regulations.
- Documentation and reporting. i.e. SCD, P&ID, Instrument Indexes, Instrument block diagram
We think you should have some of the following:
- in Electrical engineering or relevant subjects
- At least 5 years relevant experience within oil and gas or renewable energy industries.
- Good knowledge with international codes and standards required i.e. DNV, NORSOK etc
- Good system understanding (FPSO hull systems) and multi-discipline understanding
- Familiar with SCD drawings
- Be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English
