Job Description: Interface Specialist (BM Project)

Department: Process Safety & Risk Department, HSEQ Group

Job Purpose: Facilitate seamless coordination and interface management across various engineering disciplines, technical authorities, and stakeholders involved in the Barrier Management Project. Ensure project objectives are met within quality, budget, and schedule constraints while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define project goals and objectives in collaboration with the Barrier Management Project Management Team (PMT), guiding project direction and success measurement.
  2. Standardize coordination and interfaces between Barrier Management PMT and technical authorities to enhance efficiency and resolve issues promptly.
  3. Coordinate with engineering disciplines and maintenance teams to ensure timely and quality execution of project plans, aligned with company standards.
  4. Guide and support barrier owners and technical authorities on project deliverables and performance standards, ensuring compliance with assurance activities.
  5. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and objectives.
  6. Manage project resources effectively, including technical authorities, to ensure efficient project execution and compliance with company policies.
  7. Develop protocols, forms, and procedures for project management activities, ensuring alignment within PMT and Barrier Management Steering Committee.
  8. Establish a cohesive framework and documentation system to support integrated project operations and goal achievement.
  9. Lead efforts in Barrier Management for major accident hazard management, defining scopes, deliverables, and execution plans, and contributing to Barrier Healthiness and risk visualization systems.
  10. Coordinate project reviews and workshops, ensuring comprehensive documentation and effective communication.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years in oil and gas project coordination with experience in multidiscipline interfaces.
  • Familiarity with international standards in oil and gas, asset integrity programs, and Process Safety concepts.
Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering standards, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of IT tools for Barrier Management or Asset Integrity (e.g., SAP, Meridium) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
