Our Power and Automation department within the new and ambitious Power Solutions business segment consists of a leading team of highly motivated and experienced engineers, being part of one of the largest engineering teams in the industry. Our team in Tranby / Fornebu is now looking for a Graduate / Junior Controls Engineer to meet future expectations.
What will you be doing?
- Work with control system design architecture & products
- Involved in all project stages, from technology development, concept & feasibility studies, front-end engineering, tenders, execution projects, and testing & commissioning
- Learn about and work with topside and subsea controls equipment, controls network, internal developed controls products and how these work together in advanced systems
- Typical tasks will involve working with control system / product specifications and system operational philosophies, creation of system schematics and documentation, interacting with various disciplines, departments & clients, working both in the office during engineering phases and on-site during testing & commissioning
- The role will initially be focused on testing activities on existing projects and providing input to interesting and challenging studies and projects within electrification, offshore wind, and renewables
- Graduates will be working with other young engineers, and we will make sure you are followed up by experienced mentors who ensure interesting development opportunities
We think you should have:
- MSc degree within Automation / Controls Engineering, Cybernetics, or similar technical background
- Graduate engineer or up to 3 years relevant experience
- Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
- Willigness to travel to manufacturing / vendors sites on occasion
- Demonstrate a proactive and innovative attitude with structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Good technical and analytical skills with high interest in expanding own knowledge
- Be a genuine team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively within own team and towards many other internal stakeholders
- Decision making and execution skills - striving for quality and delivery on time
