Technical Lead Data Engineer – 12 Months Contract – Paris, France

Hybrid 3 days on site, 2 days remote
Required:- Minimum of 7 years of successful experience as a Data Engineer & ideally has significant experience in a lead role within one or more teams. Python & Java. PySpark. Spring Boot / Fast API / Flask. Databricks data platform. Mastery of database management principles & processes. SQL / NoSQL. Azure Cloud. Strong Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban) with demanding delivery requirements. Experience with full CI/CD using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). A Cloud certification at the Developer Associate level, or even at the Expert Architect level, would be ideal. Possess proven team management & leadership skills. Enjoy teamwork & be able to lead teams effectively

Technical & Methodological Scope: Required Skills for a Technical Lead Data Engineer:
Proficiency & experience with the following programming languages: o Python & Java
Significant expertise in one or more of the following frameworks: o PySpark o Spring Boot / Fast API / Flask
Significant expertise with the Databricks data platform • Mastery of database management principles & processes. o SQL / NoSQL
Significant experience with the Azure Cloud • Experience in a strong Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban) with demanding delivery requirements
Experience with full CI/CD using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
A Cloud certification at the Developer Associate level, or even at the Expert Architect level, would be ideal.

The Tech Lead Data Engineer will work in a cross-functional environment & will have access to the following resources:
- Delivery Performance to foster an agile working environment within the squad, supporting the Tech Lead in resolving technical issues with the craftsmanship coach(es)
- Technical Authority for technical practices & standards to be deployed within the squad
- Talent for HR support for squad members
- Chapter to support the Tech Lead in squad staffing, resolving technical issues, & developing the skills of their team.
Main objective:
The Tech Lead's primary mission is to:
- Contribute to product delivery
- Ensure technical choices are made in collaboration with the team, adhering to standards
- Communicate technical choices & gain stakeholder buy-in
- Interact daily with stakeholders (business, tech authority, etc.)
- Guarantee the software quality of the team's deliverables Ensure the proper implementation of the product development plan.
Technical Lead Data Engineer responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for the squad, supporting them in their decisions & the implementation of best practices & standards.
- Ensure code quality & monitor KPIs for product tracking.
- Contribute technically to code production.
- Escalate issues & ensure problem resolution in an agile environment, working closely with Delivery Performance, Talent, & Chapter leads.
- Ensure the successful technical implementation of the product development plan.
