Lead Geophysicist 

- Integrate well, seismic, geological, and other relevant data to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the subsurface. 
- Seismic interpretation, velocity analysis and depth conversion, leading to the construction of reservoir surfaces and associated uncertainty ranges for input to reservoir models
- Use pre- and post-stack seismic data and quantitative rock physics to characterize the subsurface
- Design, advise and follow up appropriate external studies, evaluate and incorporate study findings i.e Inversion, rock physics etc
- Wok according to the company’s best practices and standards as well as suggesting improvements to these. Test new technologies, workflows and software
- Contribute to technical proposals, reports and presentations to partners (workshops/EC/RC) or internally (BPR/peer review), in collaboration with area’ Team
- Support and contribute to exploration licenses as required

Qualifications:
- Master degree or equivalent in geophysics
- Seismic interpretation using a suite of interpretation tools (Petrel, Geoteric, RokDoc and DUG)
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience from the Oil & Gas industry, and knowledge of the E&P business
- Strong background in seismic interpretation and competent in fundamentals of mapping (synthetic well ties, horizon/fault mapping, 3D attributes, etc.)
- Strong background in seismic forward modelling (preferably RokDoc) to help calibrate seismic interpretations to well results
- Strong background in qualitative prestack interpretation (AVO & EEI)
- Comfortable providing QC on seismic processing and prestack inversion projects being done by 3rd party vendors
- Relevant experience working with operated development projects and workflows in Norway preferred
- Team player with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and to integrate other subsurface disciplines into a project. Basic understanding of own role and other roles
- Ability to effectively present and discuss results and issues, and to provide the technical base for decisions
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and preferably Norwegian language skills
- Cultural awareness
