Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Tarbert, Ireland
Contract Duration: 25 September 2023-05 October 2024
As a Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for cold and hot commissioning of the Water-Steam-Cycle and BOP systems and process of Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP). This includes the takeover of the systems from construction, correctness and completeness of loop checks and instrument calibration/adjustment, flushing of systems, function group start-up and adjustments, water steam cycle system cleaning, blow out, and restoration, and preparation and execution of plant tests, performance tests, and reliability run.

Some of the primary duties of the Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will include:
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with the site EHS plan requirements and specifically defined safe systems of work
- Coordinating the contractual tests with customers, adequacy with the contract, turnover to the customer without defects, and follow-up of punch list items
- Managing, assessing, supervising, supporting, and promoting the commissioning and other personnel assigned to him/her
- Ensuring quality compliance for the scope of work by delegating responsibilities within your team, complying with all inspections, tests and witness points as contractually required and obtaining/producing quality records
- Ensuring commissioning is performed according to the specifications, engineering and commissioning documents, taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations
- Accepting the turnover of systems from construction to commissioning and executing the turnover from commissioning to the customer in accordance with current procedure/work instructions and the contract

- Experience managing a commissioning team in executing the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities independently
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving capabilities
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- An engineering degree from an accredited university
- International Driving License and willingness to travel worldwide for long-term assignments
