Lead Quality Assurance Engineer – Freelance Contract – Central Paris, France

Initially until the 31st December 2024
Hybrid working 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Essential:-  at least 7 years experience.  Concepts in development languages: Java, Node.JS, Python, SQL. Knowledge of Cloud environments is appreciated: Azure, Web App, Azure Functions, Data Factory. Knowledge of playwright frameworks, selenium, and testing tools: ALM octane, Qtest, etc... Mastery of CI/CD environments. Expertise in ATDD. An ability to detect, analyse and report risks related to the activity. Team management.  Experience in software test engineering as well as practice in team management in an agile environment.

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will be integrated into the Tech Authority which brings together around twenty people (Cybersecurity, Architects, etc.). You report directly to our CTO (Chief Technical Officer).  

The team evolves in an agile context at all levels of the organization, in iterative and co-constructive mode, relying on collective intelligence. Within the Tech Authority, the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in defining the technical governance of projects. You will also support and guide for the Squads during the different phases of their projects.

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer defines and disseminates the QA vision. You will also be responsible for deploying a QA culture within the Digital Factory and defining actions to increase the skills of the teams and the influence of the QA team.

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will:
 
  • Guide the QA team as experts in their field.
  • Define guidelines, standards, processes and the technical governance plan for QA.
  • Select tools, train Squads and monitor QA indicators.
  • Build and establish relationships with the different stakeholders (Business, Product Owner, Product & Value Office, Coaches, Digital Platforms, etc.).
  • Measure and manage the maturity of Squads and the integration of QA on digital products.
  • Lead the QA community.
  • Keep informed of trends, technological developments and innovations in force in your field of intervention in order to always be in a logic of continuous improvement.

Cross-functional contributions:
 
  • Participate in the design/maintenance of new tools/packages common to the organization.
  • Challenge the team’s vision.
  • Participate in CoPs (Communities of Practice).
