We are specialists in managing large projects from feasibility studies and conceptual engineering, through FEED and detailed engineering.

Engineering is executing major projects across the globe in both oil and gas and renewables sectors. This includes Norway’s ground-breaking Brevik carbon capture project, as well as delivering engineering and design for Northern Lights, the world’s first CO₂ storage facility on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Furthermore, we are investigating the design and delivery of future hydrogen and ammonia projects.

As part of a strategic alliance, we are also working on a large digitalization project as part of the development of the Hugin oil and gas field offshore Norway, whilst pioneering new digital solutions to make operations safer and more efficient.

We are now looking for a Lifting Equipment Specialist who wants to join our team and who can strengthen our capabilities within our Mechanical department in Fornebu.

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for crane and material handling equipment (pedestal cranes, overhead cranes, winches, and hoists) in all phases of projects (studies, FEEDs and execution), which includes the following tasks:
  • Evaluating crane / material handling equipment technology
  • Equipment selection and configuration
  • Providing input to material handling philosophy / report
  • Technology development / qualification
  • Writing specifications and datasheets for cranes / material handling equipment
  • Multidiscipline cooperation
  • Acting as package responsible engineer (PRE) for pedestal cranes, lifts, winches, material handling equipment, incl. bid evaluation, supplier coordination and follow-up, coordination of internal disciplines, interaction with procurement and client, testing and mechanical completion activitie

We think you should have:
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering areas
  • 5-10 years of versatile and extensive experience with cranes / material handling equipment in the oil and gas and/or other industry
  • Good knowledge of relevant Norwegian and international standards, client standards, and preferably NORSOK standards
  • Experience from early phase / large engineering projects
  • Good communication skills and a proactive work approach are required
  • Multidiscipline understanding
  • Flexibility to travel when needed
