Purpose of the position:
The Logistics / Crane Advisor is accountable to the Project Installation Manager for managing the Mechanical or Electrical contractor at our client's projects onsite wind turbine installation, on-site logistics operations, which can include supervision of commissioning or retrofit tasks and achieve projects scheduled programme in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.

The Logistics / Crane Advisor is accountable to the Project Installation Manager for managing the Mechanical or Electrical contractor at our client's projects onsite wind turbine installation, on-site logistics operations, which can include supervision of commissioning or retrofit tasks and achieve projects scheduled programme in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Direct, motivate and lead the contractor or subcontractors at the projects to achieve project targets;
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, and manage our clients installation QA documentation in the field, to provide guidance and solutions to installation issues;
- Follow and implement coordinated programs for site activities and work control systems;
- Report labour resources, procurement and delivery, plant and equipment;
- Guide and supervise the client's overseas team in following Australian HSE working requirements and Australian standards;
- Carry out a minimum of one (1) work Front inspection per week;
- Support projects in achievement of their objectives;
- Accurately report the status of activities;
- Maintain good relations with stakeholders;
- Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Turner, Boilermaker etc. or Intermediate rigger with minimum 5 years’ experience in wtg installation.
- Minimum 5 years wind turbine installation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of construction site practices applicable legislation and site management system
- Ability to work effectively in an International/China cross cultural environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
- Ability to lead, motivate and align work groups and individuals
- OEM training in erection of wind turbines
- Quality management.
- Management and supervision of teams
- Health and Safety Management qualifications
- Lifting, rigging & dogging
