Logistics Specialist

NES Fircroft is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry.

Our client is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a 6-month contract located in Calgary, AB.  

Responsibilities:

• Understanding key parameters of a trucking plan as it pertains to fracturing operations.
• Monitoring real time dashboards to identify deviations from trucking plan.
• Generating trucking demand in logistics/dispatch software and assigning these loads to carriers.
• Understanding logistics plan for all active jobs for assigned area.
• Oversight of carrier performance and truck schedule optimization.
• Provide prompt communication and issue resolution with carriers, as necessary.
• Adjust truck schedules as necessary to minimize the impact of issues that may arise.
• Understanding of the “total landed cost” scenario for a particular job and providing feedback to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Focuses on innovation and creating efficiencies.
• Some travel expectations.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years in a logistics or trucking dispatch related role considered and asset
• Dispatch software experience considered an asset
• Prior Frac or oilfield experience considered and asset
• Microsoft Office 365
