Our client is a global manufacturer of Petrochemical, Speciality Chemicals and Oil products, due to continued growth they are now looking to add a Management Systems and Assurance Advisor to their team. You will work across the business to define and agree the annual audit and assurance plan, based on risk and current performance, to measure the effectiveness of, and conformance with the Management System.
 
You will coordinate and monitor the in-year delivery of the audit plan; reporting on progress-to-plan, collation of findings, agreeing corrective actions and feeding a Continuous Improvement cycle.
 
Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders to develop the annual audit assurance programme
  • Co-ordinate the internal independent and external audit programme, managing resources, including mentoring, support and providing training to ensure the audit process is followed
  • Provide a framework for self-verification audits, and assess the quality to ensure they meet the requirements of the Management System
  • Conduct cross-business analysis of audit outcome to identify insights and trends; reporting this on a monthly basis via reports and Management System Element Performance Reviews.
  • Monitor the close out of audit non-conformities and the effectiveness of improvement actions and ensure timely escalation of closure performance to Management
  • Support the management of contractor and supplier assurance, providing input to the third party evaluation process and where necessary direct or lead audits of key contractors and suppliers prior to contact award
  • Provide audit assurance input to annual Management System Review.
 
Experience & Qualifications
  • Candidates will hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Science, SHE, Business or equivalent
  • Hold previous Lead / Internal Auditor experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Management Systems (H&S, Environment and/or Quality) and their implementation
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing audit and assurance processes
  • Experience of working within a complex, high hazard and highly regulated sector
  • Detailed understanding of the main internationally recognised System Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 45001)
