Duties & Responsibilities:  

• Able to Machine parts within tight Tolerances  
• Able to machine all type of metals  
• Perform setup  
• Perform offsets  
• Diagnose and remedy operation and tooling complications  
• Install tooling  
• Inspect each part, using predetermined gauging instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, master verniers, and other job specific gauging instruments to maintain specified print requirements  
• Load, unload machines  
• Adjust machine tools; remove, sharpen, and replace drills and other tooling  
• Replace worn carbide inserts  
• Cleanout machine and prepare for material change  
• Troubleshoot problems such as tool misalignment, or other occurrences that affect the part dimensionally and make appropriate adjustments  
• Maintain lubrication and cutting oil at proper levels  
• Follow the safe practices and housekeeping instructions for the department  
• Know and understand the relevant sections of ISO Quality Management System and how they apply to this job  
• Communicate job status to department manager   


Requirements:  

• Miscellaneous machine tools, indicators, etc. required    
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task  
• Willingness to work in a team setting and to continue learning and improving  
• Required to read and understand blueprints  
• Pre-employment background check & drug screening required

Skills/Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the industry with specific skills related to manual machining
• Experience with Manual Lathe machines
