NES Fircroft are currently working with a Global Oil & Gas Operaotor who are looking for a Marine Advisor - Operations, to join their Perth Team on an initial 12-month contract.
Objective:
Provide marine assurance support to the Marine team to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations to Onshore/Offshore Operations, Drilling, IMR and Projects.
Responsibilities:
OHS:
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Actively participate in HSE meetings and HAZID's Promote safety initiatives in the marine environment
- Actively support industry forums to ensure marine operations continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities/ Project
- Execute Marine standards and philosophies that support safe, environmentally responsible and high operational availability, of marine terminal assets to Offshore and Onshore Operations.
- Ensure Company compliance to International, Commonwealth and State/Territory marine regulatory requirements.
- Actively manage marine contractors (inc. Ship vetting and inspection, pilot/loading master, harbor towage and offtake support)
- Vetting and compatibility of ships proposed to load at terminals
- Provide advice on best practice marine terminal operations
- Identify and manage opportunities for cost Optimisation of marine assets and activities
- Support Offshore and GEP IMR activities
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal clients.
Team Work
- Consult with Company Operations, Central and Project teams to ensure alignment of documentation to expectations.
- Consult with key contractors to ensure compliance to company requirements.
- Collaborate with industry peers to ensure continual improvement of marine services, best practices and adherence to industry standards.
Qualifications Requirements
- Master (Unlimited) or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency with hydrocarbon endorsement, (essential)
- Minimum of 5 years sea time on trading tankers/carriers
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Valid MSIC
- Prior experience in a senior marine seagoing position, onboard LNG/LPG/Oil tankers (minimum Chief Mate)
- Understanding of port and terminal operations
- Experience with Offshore vessel and FPSO operations.
- Detailed knowledge of applicable International Conventions and Commonwealth/State/Territory Acts and regulations
