Our client a Global Oil and Gas Major Operator in Perth CBD are currently seeking a WA OIL Materials Coordinator to join them for a 12 month contract.
The WA OIL Materials Coordinator is tasked with managing the material demand for all WA Oil related inventory tracked in the Chevron ERP System (JDE). Concurrently, they are in charge of monitoring and optimising the stock of all critical and operational spares needed for ABU WA Oil Operations.
Their responsibilities extend to ensuring the management of all Wells materials stored at various locations, including Perth Supply Base, North West Supply Bases, and business partner facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing material demand through the review of JDE MRP messages to ensure all Work Order materials are sourced efficiently and that all operational inventory levels are maintained and run down in alignment if decommissioning activities.
  • Coordinate the offsite repair of WA Oil repairable items via the JDE RMA Process
  • Working in partnership with Contracts and Engineering to understand scope of upcoming projects and assisting in identifying long lead materials and ensuring CVX Systems are set up and ready to procure and manage demand.
  • Acting as the primary contact and guide for WA Oil personnel regarding materials cataloguing, equipment location, condition, ownership, inspection status, offsite repair, and investment recovery processes.
  • Developing Investment Recovery Strategy that aligns to Decomissioning Project Timeline and demand profile.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for external material inquiries in support of ABU sharing agreements with external parties.
  • Working in close collaboration with Finance, Commercial, and SCM teams to facilitate asset transfers in JDE when necessary.
  • Aiding Finance and SCM teams during routine annual inventory audits as needed.
  • Offering support to the onsite Warehousing and Supply Base functions on SCM processes.
  • This role involves coordinating the procurement process for WA Oil, providing support to the Engineering and Operations teams. It serves as the primary interface between Engineers, Maintenance and Reliability, SCM Buyers, SCM Contracts Advisors, SCM Logistics Team, Finance Team, Commercial Team, Asset/Project Teams, Perth Supply Base (PSB), North West Supply Bases (NWSB) and Business Partner Teams.
  • The position is the initial point of contact for WA Oil office personnel concerning all work materials procurement. It delivers a high level of customer service to Chevron Wells Engineering and Operations team members, ensuring that customer requirements are promptly addressed and sustained. The responsibilities of the position include:
  • Acting as a liaison between WA Oil and key functional stakeholders.
  • Serving as a central point of contact between WA Oil, SCM Procurement, and Business Partners for issues related to materials procurement.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all WA Oil material procurement, which include:
  • Assisting in the development of Purchase Requisition Templates for one off purchase requirements whilst in parallel driving WA Oil to efficiently procure via the Inventory Management System.
  • Communicating and managing the priority/urgency of PRs with SCM buying teams based on fabrication & delivery timing versus project schedules.
  • Collaborating with key interfaces to ensure PO has the correct T&Cs, incoterms, delivery instructions, accounting codes, and due by dates listed before the originator approves to issue to vendors.
  • Maintaining awareness of key material delivery considerations and acting as a bridge between the SCM Logistics Team and WA Oil Stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with WA Oil Project teams and SCM Logistics to create freight forecasts to feed complex quarantine and logistics activities into long-term logistics plans for the ABU.
  • Encouraging the use of core ABU Reporting tools to ensure key stakeholders and customers have data on hand to mitigate any delays.
  • Working with ABU Freight Forwarding Business Partners to identify and help mitigate import and export issues with materials.
  • Collaborating with the ABU Fabrication Team and Fabrication Business Partners to make the progress of long lead fabricated material visible to the WA Oil Team and to integrate that data into project schedules and help mitigate any delays.
