Job Purpose:
The Material Demand Planner, reporting to the Supply Chain Planning & Delivery (SCPaD) manager, is an integral part of the newly formed Supply Chain Planning team. The purpose of this team is to develop inventory planning strategies, inventory optimization, material demand segmentation, and improvements in the materials management space.
The purpose of Supply Chain (SC) Planning is to match demand for SC resources and their supply at the most competitive cost without compromising on HSSE. SC Planning enables delivery of agreed business targets parallelly optimizing the end-to-end SC. SC Planning facilitates timely visibility of business demand for Supply Chain resources that support work execution on-time, at rationalized costs and safely in the long-, medium-, short- and a very short-term time horizon. SC Planning builds, maintains, and optimizes the SC Capacity Plan underpinning work execution while allowing timely definition and implementation of efficiency opportunities, risk mitigation and removal of conflicts.

- Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Material Reporting (Critical Spares Report, etc.)

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, gained through operations or excellent roles in Planning / Logistics / Materials Management / Contracting and Procurement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
Beneficial:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
- In-depth understanding of E2E SC with the focus on SC planning and SC segmentation techniques to drive value delivery through timely visibility of demand.
- Able to understand the business activities, interpret business demand and translate this into SC demand to deliver a safe and rationalized SC Demand Plan balancing costs and agreed service level
- Demonstrate the ability to apply technology and work with different demand planning tools
- Able to manage and analyze significant amounts of data
- Solid understanding of inventory- and material management practices and procedures.
- Understand and apply use of analytics and process indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong E2E process management thinking
- Understand and able to execute key inventory management activities, including planning and replenishment, demand management and forecasting, lead-times analysis, reduction options, stock proposals, identification of surplus stock etc.
- Able to plan and analyze inventory with ERP system (e.g., SAP IM/MM Modules) and use of Asset reporting tools

Select Responsibilities:
- Provide insight on material demand and data quality.
- Highlight risks enabling early intervention by the relevant SC discipline.
- Ensures and improves the quality of data relating to materials.
- Drives full transparency of materials supply chain and structural improvements of data and processes in close collaboration with respective data owners and process stakeholders.
- Analyses materials related data to enable early intervention, highlight issues and drive improvement.
- Provides analyses and reports on trends, KPI’s and progress on performance.
- Analyze purchase data to identify suboptimal purchase outcomes.
- Provide detailed analytics and support for the SC team to create and implement solutions to continuously improve inventory levels via scenario planning, appropriate replenishment strategies, and inventory planning parameters.
- Develop Inventory Analytics capability to measure relevant Inventory health indicators and visualize value opportunities.
- Work with Master data Lead for effective Management of Bill of Materials and relevant master data.
- Standardization of materials, preferably to industry standards.
- Explore alternative supply opportunities based on required response times.
- MM master data management and maintenance.
- Analyze Stock for optimization using Stock performance indicators.
- Maintain interface for verification and challenge of accurate stock records.
- Drive MMspecific improvement opportunities that span across several functions and disciplines, fixing the basics
