Location: Tarbert, County Kerry, Ireland
Contract Duration:  25 September 2023 - 31 January 2024

As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will commission the BOP mechanical systems and ensure planning, preparation and execution of the commissioning, operation, trial run and acceptance testing of a Gas Turbine Power Plant and Combined Cycle Power Plant. You will also ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the site EHS plan requirements and specifically defined safe systems of work.

In this Mechanical Commissioning Engineer role, you can expect to:
· Takeover the systems from construction
· Instrument and transmitter calibration/adjustment and loop & target checks
· Valve adjustments (solenoid actuation, pneumatic, hydraulic or motorised)
· Motor initial runs with motor solo runs, rotation checks, and load run checks
· Preparation and execution of plant tests and performance tests, and reliability run

To apply for this Mechanical Commissioning Engineer role, you will need commissioning experience and knowledge of the mechanical BOP equipment of Gas Turbine Power Plants. You will also require the following:
· Leading a commissioning team in executing the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities independently
· Analytical and problem-solving capability
· Willing to travel worldwide for long-term assignments
· An engineering degree from an accredited university
