Aker Solutions in Oslo are now looking for Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical PREs to strengthen their team.


Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Be responsible for mechanical packages for rotating, static or utility equipment
  • Design and engineering of effective mechanical solutions for the project/s
  • Procure mechanical equipment (in the role as Package Responsible Engineer/PRE)
  • Ensure close collaboration with Package Responsible Buyers (PRBs) to safeguard delivery according to project requirements
  • Coordinate relevant disciplines (PRD - Package Responsible Discipline) which have technical responsibilities within the package design and delivery
  • Advise and mentor other engineers within own area of expertise

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least 5 years’ work experience as a mechanical engineer and/or PRE within relevant industries like oil & gas/energy, chemical process or power generation
  • Good experience of the delivery of rotating, static and/or utility equipment and complex mechanical packages
  • Good understanding of technical equipment and design deliveries in accordance with relevant standards
  • Familiarity with NORSOK standards is a significant advantage
  • Analytical mindset and solution-oriented with an eye for detail
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

NES Advantage can offer 2-year contracts with excellent prospects for extension. Work permits required for non-EU citizens hired by NES Advantage will be arranged and paid for.
