NES Fircroft, in collaboration with a global pioneer in the mining sector, is actively seeking a seasoned and competent Mechanical Project Lead.
This will be a 6–12-month contract role with possibility of extension on a 4/3 roster (Mon-Thurs)
FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville to site.

About the role
- To drive the planning, design, and execution to deliver Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) portfolio and major operational projects.
- Leads and manages prefeasibility studies. Ensure all project prefeasibility studies are developed and delivered proposing the greatest value solution for the project.
- Single point of contact and accountability for responsible projects
- Preparation and submission of all required milestones and deliverables for project tollgate approvals
- Pro-active engagement and management of key stakeholders and internal customers
- Stakeholder engagement/management and strong relationship building
- Engineering Degree / Equivalent tertiary qualification
- Project management qualification desirable
- Sound understanding of financial evaluation techniques (NPV, Payback, ROI, etc.)
- 5+ years postgraduate with at least 3 of these years in a project management role for delivering complete life cycle projects within a brownfield environment in the range of $150k to $5M within the resources industry
- Sound experience in prefeasibility studies and development of business cases based on financial evaluation techniques
