As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Method Engineer - Piping with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
  • Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences.
  • Prepare constructability documents and implement construction and HSSE-friendly design.
  • Contribute to the establishment of schedules.
  • Follow up and ensure methods are reflected in project schedules.
  • Participate in design reviews with a focus on constructability.
  • Organize and lead meetings as required.
  • Ensure project personnel are involved in the development of construction methods.
  • Provide input to lessons learned reports and workshops, and contribute to the improvement of routines and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all areas within Method discipline, including Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering, and Construction.
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Relevant higher education, either a technical degree or bachelor’s degree. Lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of work processes within the Method and Piping disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in EPC processes within Topside and facilities/Renewables segments.
  • Proficient in software such as Navisworks, Microsoft Office, PDMS, Aveva E3D, and Autodesk.
