Job Description:
NES Fircroft are partnering with a global resources client who are looking for a Mine Surveyor to join the team in a FIFO position on a 12 month contract.
This is a PART TIME position working an 8:20 roster ( 8 days on, 20 days off )
The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, we are looking for a Mine Surveyor to be part of a supportive team.
You will provide quality & timely surveying services for operational and technical purposes. Accurate survey data and records to ensure that operational, technical & other business functions can make decisions around design layout, excavation progress and mine conditions.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- As-constructed pick-ups using a suite of spatial data collectors such as GPS, laser scanners and UAV’s.
- Incident scene surveys and digital hazard management.
- Pit wall and infrastructure deformation monitoring.
- Set out of known hazards and critical operational boundaries.
- Conformance to design checks & associated reports.
- Volumetric surveys and reporting.
The Requirements:
You will ideally have:
- A Diploma of Surveying or a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying (or nearing completion of qualification)
- 2+ years of practical Surveying experience in any field.
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with remote teams and a diverse range of customers.
- A ‘C’ class manual driver’s licence
