NES Fircroft has a new opportunity for an Offshore Crane Mechanic in the Southern North Sea on behalf of our client, a leading Oil & Gas Operator.
This role involves working within a team of multi-skilled technicians to maintain safety critical lifting equipment across various assets. The position offers a 2/2 rotation, 12-hour shifts mobilising out of Norwich.
The ideal candidate will have a Certified mechanical background, Crane Competency Training (Stages 1-3), and experience in the offshore/onshore Oil & Gas Industry. Additionally, individuals assessed with Lifting Operations are preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities include coordinating and communicating with outside vendors, management, and onshore cranes & lifting department to ensure safe daily operations, monitoring mechanical lifting operations for compliance with safety procedures, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on cranes.
Safety Critical Tasks involve tasks like Crane Hook Block/Overhaul Ball Replacement and maintenance of Crane Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems. Hydraulic/Electrical Knowledge and exposure to a variety of offshore cranes are advantageous for potential candidates.
