Job Title: Onboarding and Safety Specialist
Job Overview: As an Onboarding and Safety Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees while prioritizing their safety. In addition to traditional onboarding responsibilities, you will oversee the procurement and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for field employees.

Job Overview: As an Onboarding and Safety Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees while prioritizing their safety. In addition to traditional onboarding responsibilities, you will oversee the procurement and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for field employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and Orientation:
- Warmly welcome new employees on their first day and facilitate a comprehensive orientation session.
- Provide an overview of the company's mission, values, and culture.
- Ensure new hires feel comfortable and supported from the start.
- Paperwork and Documentation:
- Assist new employees with completing necessary paperwork, including tax forms, benefits enrollment, and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of employee information.
- Technology and Workspace Setup:
- Coordinate the setup of necessary technology tools, such as email accounts, computer systems, and software access.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure a seamless workspace setup.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver onboarding training sessions to familiarize new hires with job responsibilities, company policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to schedule department-specific training sessions.
- PPE Procurement and Distribution:
- Assess and manage the inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for field employees.
- Place orders for PPE supplies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery timelines.
- Develop and implement efficient distribution processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of PPE to field locations.
- Communication and Follow-Up:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
- Conduct regular check-ins to address any questions or concerns and gather feedback on the onboarding experience.
- Collaboration with HR and Hiring Teams:
- Work closely with HR and hiring managers to ensure a coordinated and effective onboarding process.
- Provide input on the enhancement of onboarding programs based on employee feedback and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in onboarding or a related HR function.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with HR software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR, or a relevant role.
