Our client is a major player in the Energy sector producing and selling fuel, natural gas and low carbon electricity.
They are in need of a Pipeline Design Engineer to join their team working from their offices in La Defense, Paris, France.
Role will be a contract-based position to work Monday – Friday and requires someone to be based in Paris full time. It will offer a strong day rate of pay which is negotiable depending on experience.
Role detail
The service provider will be involved in a wide range of activities all along the pipeline life cycle, from early development and conceptual studies, FEED to detailed design and integrity management.
The service provider will collaborate with the company’s experts and benefit from their support (rigid pipeline & riser design, umbilicals & flexibles, materials, installation, corrosion, structures, geotechnical, etc.) and will support several projects (studies, projects or affiliates) for gas, oil, CO2 or H2 projects.

Tasks to be performed
- Performing pipeline and riser preliminary designs for early phase development
- studies, supporting petroleum architects, for offshore projects (deep water and
- shallow water projects), occasionally onshore projects
- Reviewing and guiding the pipeline design work done by external Contractors during
- FEED, detailed engineering of rigid pipelines and risers
- Supporting the company’s affiliates during management of product integrity, or
- during incidents, and during re-qualifications and life extension studies.
- Carrying out project audits and technical reviews on aspects related to rigid pipeline and riser design
- Being creative and proactive and being actively involved in improvements of internal
- processes and methodologies
- The service provider may have to do oversea missions.
- Advanced expertise in design of offshore rigid pipelines and risers.
- Expertise in the installation of offshore and risers
- Expertise in the oil and gas field operation and integrity management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills are necessary to communicate with internal and external clients, peers, suppliers and contractors.
- The languages of the service are English and French
