NES Fircroft are delighted to announce that we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Engineer to join our client in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) role. The successful candidate will work on a major LNG project based in the UAE, with a hybrid working arrangement from the EPC office in France. This is a 12+ month renewable contract, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project in the oil & energy sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Engineering: Experience with project lifecycle from Conceptual to Detailed design stages. Develop and review piping design and engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Project Management: Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of the project.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities, including inspections and audits, to ensure the integrity and reliability of piping systems.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure all piping engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping engineering, with at least 3 years in a PMC role on LNG or similar projects.
  • Skills: Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, CAESAR II), strong project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Certifications: Bachelor Degree, Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a plus.
