Aker Solutions in Oslo are now looking for Piping Engineers to strengthen their team. They need:

 

Piping and Layout engineers/designers

Piping MTO engineers

Pipe support engineers

Pipe stress engineers

Piping engineering advisers/piping system engineers

Piping package responsible engineers (PREs)

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

· Piping and Layout engineers/designers

• • Piping and layout design using PDMS/E3D
  • Piping & layout engineering change control
  • Piping & layout engineering integrity and compliance coordination.

· Piping MTO engineers

• • Support projects in the design phase
  • Establish bulk MTO in MIPS for piping materials and valves for purchases
  • Transfer of MTO from 3D-model via interfaces table to MIPS MTO object types
  • Transfer of MTO details from the engineering registers
  • Define requisitions and generate the amount from MTOs, and submit requisitions to the purchasing dept. for call-offs

· Pipe support engineers

• • Pipe support 3D model design
  • Quality check the pipe support design and solve any identified design issues

· Pipe stress engineers

• • Responsible for pipe stress on relevant piping systems using Caesar II

· Piping engineering advisers/piping system engineers

• • Act as senior piping adviser for the piping group
  • Understand the full piping system and devise technical solutions
  • Responsible for handling of interfaces for/to the piping discipline

· Piping package responsible engineers (PREs)

• • Act as PRE for relevant for piping systems e.g. PRE for valves which includes follow up of site queries and other outstanding activities on valve packages

 

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant field
• At least 5 years’ work experience as a piping engineer within relevant industries like oil & gas/energy, marine etc.
• Solid experience within front-end, FEED and/or EPC projects

• Knowledge of design software such as E3D, Navisworks and/or Autocad
• Knowledge of applicable international codes & standards
• Experience of offshore HVDC platforms, wind projects and/or onshore carbon capture projects is beneficial
• Systematic and structured approach to dedicated tasks

• Fluency in written and spoken English
