The Policy Specialist will monitor, review and report on federal government matters of energy and climate domestic and foreign policies, and will use his/her knowledge of such policies to assist with all relevant DC office activities, including coordinating Eni’s corporate assessment and support outreach. The Policy Specialist will monitor, review and report on federal government matters of energy and climate domestic and foreign policies, and will use his/her knowledge of such policies to assist with all relevant DC office activities, including coordinating Eni’s corporate assessment and support outreach. Detailed responsibilities:
- Monitor federal public debate and policy developments in the fields of energy and climate. Main focus on energy policies and foreign policies on areas of interest
- Summarizing and reporting core aspects, relevant for eni’s interests in the U.S. and worldwide;
- Triggering and facilitating the process to establish eni’s positions with direct engagement with HQ and relevant business lines and support functions;
- Contribute to establishing and executing eni’s advocacy plan, with direct engagement with external stakeholders;
- Contribute to eni Washington D.C. office activities and events
- Interact with internal and external ENI partners / colleagues. Interactions can be at senior level both internally and externally
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Studies, Government, Public Policy, or a major requiring research on related topics; Graduate degree in relevant fields is a significant advantage
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong presentation, networking and advocacy skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites, excellent spelling & grammar skills
- Previous experience with energy policies and regulations, or with foreign policy matters in relevant domains is a significant advantage
- Bilingual English-Italian speaker preferred, but not required
- Multi-task oriented
