My client is seeking a Portfolio Manager for our PVO division. The PVO Portfolio Manager will be responsible for: Main Responsibilities the Portfolio Manager within PVO plays a key role in the management, coordination, & visibility of the product & project portfolio. They will be responsible for strategic, financial, & operational management, while also fostering the PVM community & promoting continuous improvement.

Portfolio Manager Responsibilities

1.          Planning & Coordination Management
• Preparation & Distribution of Materials: Develop & prepare presentation & follow-up materials for coordination & decision-making bodies.
• Regular Monitoring of Progress: Ensure the regularity & punctuality of key product milestones & deliveries.

2.          Strategic & Financial Management
• Budget oversight: Rigorous monitoring of allocated budgets, anticipation of deviations, & monitoring of budget consumption versus forecasts.
• KPI tracking & data analysis: Implementation & monitoring of key performance indicators (budget invested, value generated, user engagement, HSE).
• Project progress & maturity monitoring: Tracking of project progress & assessment of project maturity to anticipate risks & needs.

3.          Facilitation & Mentoring within the PVM Teams
• Workload Allocation & Management: Effective distribution of tasks based on skills & workload.
• Continuous Improvement Management: Mentoring cross-functional initiatives to optimize processes & methods.
• Organization of “PVM Days”: Planning & facilitating dedicated days to strengthen cohesion, knowledge sharing, & strategic thinking.

4.          Communication & Visibility
• Improving client’s visibility: Developing strategies to increase internal visibility.
• Product Portfolio Communication: Clear & tailored communication about the portfolio to stakeholders.

Portfolio Manager Key Rituals & Practices
  • E2E Control Tower: Facilitation, drafting & communication of meeting minutes, action tracking.
  • Capacity Planning: Cross-functional management of resource tracking (Data, PVO, Delivery), budget management, preparation of supporting materials.
  • CT & Capacity Planning Synchronization: Facilitation, regular check-ins, updating KPIs in the portfolio tool.
  • PVM Day: Community engagement, program monitoring, & cross-functional topics within the PVO team.
