Our client is a leading international energy company, renowned for its commitment to renewable energy and low-carbon solutions. Their ambition is to be among the top global players in offshore wind, leveraging their extensive offshore experience to drive the industry forward. They also see a bright future for solar energy, which is set for rapid growth worldwide.

For our client we are seeking PPA Manager - part of international portfolio management team. This position will be responsible for supervision and coordination of commercialization of energy from our clients polish RES assets. Activities of position will be focusing on mid and long term PPA contracts, in cooperation with Origination and Hedging departments.

Scope of responsibilities

Manage and optimize the power portfolio through the origination and trading units. Be responsible for the financial performance of the activity.

  • Primary accountability for the portfolio in Poland and its consolidation with the European portfolio.
  • Formulate top-tier methodologies and tools for valuation and portfolio management.
  • Showcase business cases and opportunities to upper management and pursue endorsement for new opportunities for value creation.
  • Mould and enhance the strategy and focus areas of the unit.
  • Provide strategic-level counsel on the client’s power asset portfolio.
  • Assist principal stakeholders in the Renewables business development unit.
  • Mentor, aid, and educate team members.
Ideal candidate should have
  • Experience within PPA contracts, at best from perspective of the owner of the generative assets
  • Knowledge of price formation in European Power Markets, with special focus on Poland
  • Understanding of Polish regulatory framework on the power markets
  • Risk management experience and skills
  • Understanding of energy trading and origination 
  • Proven track record in PPA contracts negotiations
  • Knowledge of Python language is an asset
  • Relevant higher education
