Process Design Director Job Description
Currently seeking a Process Design Director to lead the process design function. This director will have a team of design engineers and targeted subject matter experts as direct reports and will set design standards and practices for all projects consistent with corporate standards.
The position can be based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; in Magnolia, Arkansas or in Charlotte, NC or Houston, Texas.

Currently seeking a Process Design Director to lead the process design function. This director will have a team of design engineers and targeted subject matter experts as direct reports and will set design standards and practices for all projects consistent with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the overall process design organization supporting up to $500 MM/yr in capital
- Serve as the process design thought leader for the organization
- Grow, upgrade and optimize the organization to meet the needs of today and tomorrow
- Maintain and update design standards
- Collaborate closely with other project functions and personnel including project management, discipline engineering, procurement, planning and scheduling, construction, manufacturing representative.
- Assure that overall process designs are sound and optimized
- Assure that all process design deliverables are on-time and of high quality
- B.S degree or higher in chemical engineering with 15+ years of experience
- Proven ability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary technical organization or project team.
- Proven track record of success in chemical process design
- Strong grasp of chemical engineering fundamentals and ability to bring a fundamental approach to technology selection and process design
- Ability to work independently with limited technical oversight.
- Prior experience acting as owners representative providing oversight of work done by an EPC firm.
- Subject matter expertise in a key relevant field such as solids handling, rotating equipment, separation processes, heat transfer equipment, etc.
