Process Engineer (Petrochemical)
 
Roles & Responsibilities:

Process Specialist: To prepare/ review/ check/comment following type of documents .
 
Process Design Basis
  • Process basic calculations (HMB consistency check – mass, molar and energy balance); Process engineering calculations (line sizing, pump hydraulics, equipment sizing); References for calculations, physical properties, , Pinch study & analysis of energy conservation Opportunities; Pump and compressor head calculations; PSV and safety devices; PSV scenario identifications and calculation of respective relieving capacity; Flare Header sizing; etc.)
  • Engineering drawings like PFDs, MSDs and P&IDs
  • Line lists to support P&IDs (inclusive of operating and design conditions, test pressure, insulation requirement with thickness); Tracing & insulation requirements.
  • Materials inventory and usage summary;
  • Equipment datasheets - like reactors, vessels, tanks, columns, heat exchangers, pump, compressor, filters, mixers, agitators, packages, etc.
  • Input to hazardous area classification drawings
  • Environmental loads and treatment
  • Noise Protection requirements
  • Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
  • Basic Process Control System.
Desired Skills:
 
  • Utility, Chemicals Requirements, and Waste Summary
  • Flare system Design (flare KOO, water seal drum, flare stack sizing);
  • Analytical and Operating Manuals
  • Knowledge and experience in the oil & gas or Petro-Chemical industry is an advantage.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8 Years of proven experience as a process engineer.
  • Front end engineering design (FEED)
