The Process Engineer will be accountable for the following:
  • Participates in preparation of the Basic Engineering Design Package (BEDP) as an important input to the Final Investment Decision (FID) over the upcoming Malampaya development project.
  • Provide design basis and direct alignment of design intent of the new facility with the design and operating constraints (e.g. operating envelope) of the existing asset.
  • Ensure design assumptions are meticulously challenged and technical standards are consistently met in the development of detailed design information.
  • Ensures that existing asset integrity is maintained as the planned Greenfield and Brownfield mods are integrated and implemented.
  • Provide assurance that Detailed Design engineering calculations are founded upon industry standards applied interpreted under the context and in sound engineering judgement, where no clear design guidelines apply. 

Below are the Detailed Responsibilities of the Project-based Process Engineer role:
  • Review Process Flow Schemes (PEFS) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs) developed by the DE Contractor for the brownfield scope.
  • Utilize process simulation software to model and evaluate the impact of proposed modifications to existing facility operations.
  • Review Fluid flow-related design evaluations and comply assurance strategy (e.g. data) requirements.
  • Review and provide inputs to relevant sections of the Process Control Narrative for the Brownfield scope.
  • Manage design contractor to ensure high quality and timeliness of deliverables from Define to Execution phase including Basis for Design (BfD), Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Procedures, Start-up Procedures, Model review, budget, resources, and timing for execution.
 
Responsibilities of the Process Engineer are two-fold:
  • Provide process engineering operations support for Offshore Platform from the wellbore to point of sale. As such he/she will interface with Operations, Asset Development Team, Commercial Team, Service Providers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Provide process engineering inputs and assurance of brownfield projects (management of change), interfacing with Engineering and Projects, design contractors, and Technical Authorities.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with a membership of professional engineering body (e.g. Board of Engineers, Institute of Chemical Engineers, etc.).
  • At least 5 years process engineering experience in the oil and gas industry (preferably in design, commissioning, and operations support).
  • Knowledge in Process Safety, Concept Development, Energy, Utilities and Water, Process Control and Real-Time Optimization, Process Modelling and Analysis, Process Unit Design, Fluid Flow And Flow Assurance, Wells, Reservoir and Facilities Management (WRFM).
