NES Fircroft are working on behalf of a global power technology business actively sourcing a Logistics Project Manager to join their Irish business unit. With a presence in over 90 countries. Based in the new Liffey Valley office in the heart of Dublin, you will be managing the interface between factory and site. Making sure orders of specialist electrical equipment (transformers, Circuit breakers) from the businesses European factories are tracked, managed and delivered to site effectively and on time.

Project responsibility
  • Project responsible for the order process, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.  Provides performance feedback regarding progress on each delivery.  
Planning and scheduling
  • Working closely with the external European Factories to plan and schedule orders to arrive on project sites in Ireland efficiently and on time. Keeping the internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Site Managers, Project Planners) updated on progress and timelines.
Project execution and control
  • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and the businesses policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization.  Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.  Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drive’s the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
Stakeholder relations
  • Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.  Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders within the business.
Skills and Requirements
  • Experience in supply chain and/or logistics
  • Experience in electrical equipment (Transformers Circuit Breakers) – Desirable: Full training can be given
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Strong Communicator
  • Experience in working across different countries in the EU – Desirable
  • Computer literate
