The Procurement Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement function by handling daily operational activities in line with company policies and procedures. This role demands a high level of independent work ethic in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Review requisitions, prepare purchase orders, and manage all related procurement tasks within the procurement cycle.
  2. Adhere to approved procurement policies, procedures, workflows, and guidelines.
  3. Assist in developing procurement strategies.
  4. Create evaluation criteria for quotations/proposals in collaboration with the Vendor and Tender Committee to ensure the best value for the company.
  5. Coordinate vendor pre-qualification and audits, including site visits as needed.
  6. Maintain the vendor management system to compile performance and compliance reports and develop strategies to achieve value for money.
  7. Regularly update and verify the accuracy of all databases used by the Procurement Department.
  8. Participate in negotiation meetings for high-risk/high-value projects.
  9. Work with key stakeholders to identify issues and provide solutions.
  10. Perform any other duties as required by the job function.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • CIPS Level 5 or higher.
  • Five to seven years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is an asset.
  • Or any other equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
