Our Client's team based near Reading provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas fields, Subsea, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments.
We are currently looking for a Procurement specialist to strengthen the team
What you will be doing:
Develop procurement strategies and plans for indirect procurement
Sourcing and pre-qualification of potential suppliers
Prepare and issue enquiries
Negotiate contracts and purchase orders
Ensure timely deliveries and correct quality in accordance with agreed budget and schedule
Ensure that all activities related to the procurement work are performed according to established procedures, guidelines and business policy
Follow-up, control and report progress on contracts, including field and desk expediting
Develop and maintain supplier relations
What we think you should have:
Higher education degree within business and/or engineering. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of a higher education
Minimum 5 years of experience with procurement and/or sales in the energy industry
Technical understanding and commercial skills
Good understanding of customer needs
Team-player attitude
Good communication and presentation skills
Strong work ethics and proactive attitude
Flexible and solution-oriented mindset
