NES Fircroft are currently partnering with a major Oil & Gas operator that are looking to add a Project & Interface Engineer to their team working in La Defense, Paris, France.

The role will be supporting the development of a recently discovered Oil & Gas reserve which is offshore in Africa.

Position is contract based and offers a long term duration initial 1 year expected to develop into 4 years. It offers strong day rate of pay. For this role, it will require a suitable candidate to be based in Paris full time.

Role overview

The service holder will be in charge of providing support to the FEED Manager and the Project Team, during the engineering studies and CFT preparation for the Project and coordinating the interfaces for all the packages.

Activities
  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE, to implement and control H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility and to comply with H3SE training requirements needed to perform the services.
  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy, promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program within the project.
  • Actively coordinate with the Project Team members to ensure progress on Engineering studies.
  • Contract finalization, and Project preparation.
  • Provide support to the FEED Manager and the project engineering team, in coordinating the engineering studies performed for the project Contractors.
  • Manage resolution of technical issues in coordination with technical specialists in charge when/if relevant and/or associated to interfaces.
  • Develop internal procedures as required for the project.
  • Assist in development and follow-up of the planning for the client Project.
  • Organize and participate to Project Reviews.
  • Anticipate problems and propose solutions or optimizations to the FEED Manager.
  • Assist and support the FEED Manager on all aspects of the client Project related Call For Tender.
  • Clarification & evaluation process, and contracts management,
  • Participate in CFT clarification meeting, and ensure follow-up activities,
  • Coordinate with project contract engineer(s) for the follow-up of correspondence and contract activities throughout the full CFT process.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the RTA, in coordination with the full client Project Team.
  • Be aware of the Interface Management lessons & learns on similar Projects and take benefit of them for the Project.
  • Define, maintain, and implement (or ensure implementation of) Interface Management policies, plans, procedures and requirements for Project and Contractors.
  • Identify or have identified all interfaces for project resulting from the split of work packages and make sure the corresponding split of responsibilities is covered at contract preparation stage and after contract award, as necessary,
  • Organize weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Package Interface Correspondents and corresponding Contractor’s Interface Managers as and when appropriate,
  • Support and participate to the maintenance of Project main documents (FDP, PEP, PQP, etc.),
  • Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the FEED Manager,
  • Ensure confidentiality of all the Interface Management documentation produced (whatever its support)
  • Gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to company entities as required.
Context & Environment

The project is a development in OML102 block in an African based on minimalistic wellhead platform tied back to via 26km pipelines (1 multiphasic production line, 1 water injection line).
Project is an innovation driven Project with Conductor Supported Platform and Zapock pipeline concepts to be rolled-out.
FEED will start October 2024 for 5 months, FID is expected end Q1 2025 and first oil Q2 2027 which intends to make the project the flagship of our clients capacity to develop resources in minimal time.

The Project will be developed with the objectives to maximize economical results by optimizing the reserves, the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Good experience in engineering for similar type of project and experience in studies and execution phases of large offshore oil & gas projects,
  • English speaking, French advantageous
  • At least 15 years of professional experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in large offshore Oil & Gas projects
