The Client:
T1 mining house with multiple operations in WA. My client now seeks a Project Geologist to join their operation on a permanent basis to assist with target generation for near-mine exploration.
 
The job:
Reporting to the Senior Geologist and working on an 8:6 (Tues) roster, your overarching objective is to assist with target generation for their near mine exploration campaign. you will also have scope for project management, mentorship and training of juniors and the chance to step up as senior geologist when required.
 
Other duties will include:
 
Assay and geological data management, internal QAQC, data collection/validation
Completing geological interpretations for resource definition modelling and advancing the geological understanding of the projects
Preparing technical reports and delivering high quality geological data for stakeholders
Assisting with development and support of continuous improvement pathways for the team
Maintaining a current knowledge of the database and modelling systems whilst making relevant recommendations
Supporting the Senior Resource Definition Geologist in meeting company objectives
 
What you'll need:
Tertiary qualifications in Geology or related fields
Relevant industry experience as a project geologist
Modelling experience with Vulcan, Leapfrog and ArcGIS
Demonstrated experience in exploration, mining, planning & scheduling
project management experience
Manual C class driver's license
