Our client, a Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for the next Project Lead to join them as they continue to make advancements with the current Autonomous Haulage System project success.
With three positions available, this is a very exciting time to join the dynamic team.

This 12 month contract will involve regular travel to site as required to meet project and safety objectives.
Full Australian Working Rights required. 

About the Role |

The successful applicant will be the sole point of accountability for the delivery of mobile mining technology projects across mining operations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of mining technology projects across RTIO Pilbara operations
  • Stakeholder Management & project communication
  • Managing project scheduling, financial forecasting, purchasing and governance
  • Managing performance, scheduling, logistics and safety of internal stakeholders & contractors

Skills & Experience
Essential:
  • Formal project management qualifications
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • 3 years Project Management experience in:
    • Engineering (control systems, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical or mining)
    • Mining (Operations Readiness or Production Engineering)
    • IT – Project Delivery
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and proven ability to scope and solve problems
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management skills

Desirable:
  • Strong Project Management skills and experience within an operational mining environment
  • Komatsu FrontRunner, Dispatch or Caterpillar Command control system experience
  • Extensive stakeholder liaison experience
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience in commissioning or maintenance of mobile equipment
  • Experience in the deployment of new technologies
  • Mining Production exposure with autonomous trucks, drills or dozers
  • Supervision of teams within a mining environment
  • Familiarity with project business case development and funding approval processes
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills and understanding of Microsoft suite of programs
