NES Fircroft are working alongside a world leader in metallurgical plant solutions and a full-line supplier who are looking to add a Project Manager to their Sheffield Office. This role is available on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to own and manage the delivery of technical projects of varying scales within the Metals Industry. You will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the project outcome, with direct responsibility for the project team for the duration.
Bringing strong leadership capabilities and market awareness, you will be able to
demonstrate excellent communication at all levels. You will be the key contact with our international clients as well as for all functional areas of the business internally. You will have enthusiasm, be customer focused, results oriented and have a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
Main Responsibilities:
You must have current UK Driving License, as well as the right to live and work in the UK and travel internationally without restrictions, possibly at short notice.

Main Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery – Delivers the project safely (within both design and construction phases) whilst achieving the contract schedule and all milestones, compliance with the contract specification and completion within as-sold financial targets. The Project Manager also contributes to the development of proposals and participates in final contract negotiations.
- Customer Management – Acts as the focal point of contact with the customer, develops the customer relationship, maintains customer confidence and satisfaction, manages the customer contract and identifies and develops potential new business opportunities.
- Leadership – Leads the project team and all stakeholders, communicates the contract requirements, develops the overall project plan and leads regular progress reviews, provides clear direction, collaborates with and motivates team members, and provides feedback on performance.
- Risk Management - Identifies and assesses all risk factors. Devises suitable strategies for mitigation and regularly reviews the status of risks.
- Finance Management - Optimises the project profitability, through the application of regular cost reviews, develops corrective actions and applies rigorous change, contract and claims management processes.
- Commercially aware and deadline / target orientated.
- Experience of project engineering / project management and the project lifecycle from sales through to installation/ commissioning.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and positively. Take an active part in the decision making of the project team.
- Experience and knowledge of the metals industry and machinery design
- Ability to lead and motivate a multi-cultural team to achieve performance with experience of working abroad, desirable.
- The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and ~ 2-5 years project engineering / project management experience

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Membership of the APM or equivalent professional body
