Position Summary:
The Project Scheduler will lead individual project schedule development for the client.   Associated work will include development of in-house owner schedule for capital projects.  Incumbent will be responsible for managing project schedules for all project activities and incorporating contractor schedules into a master owner’s schedule, including Project Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Risk, Information Management, Health-Safety-Environment, Quality, Staffing, and Operations.  

Core Functions:
  • Responsible for development of project life cycle schedules through full integration of pre-FID engineering, detail engineering, procurement and field executable construction schedules working together with PM, Procurement and PMO.
  • Progress project schedule based on updates provided by engineering contractors, vendors, and construction contractors into a single, integrated schedule.
  • Update and align project codes, activity codes and WBS.
  • Coordinate week to week activities updates as aligned with the project engineering, procurement, and construction team.
  • Providing assurance on schedules submitted by contractors.
  • Analyze schedule logic, activity durations, constraints, float, resource loading, critical path(s) and leveling resources as needed to support project constraints.
  • Produce schedule deliverables package appropriate for the project stage gate.
  • Analyze and provide report on engineering and construction contractor meeting baseline deadlines.
  • Produce project management reports that effectively communicate project performance, concern, and other indicators of schedule performance.
  • Participate in schedule risk workshops to establish schedule contingency.
  • Apply, monitor, and report schedule float and critical path.
  • Monitor and record approved schedule changes.
  • Manage stage gate baselines.
  • Support in resource planning and allocation during project execution & construction phase
  • Provide regular updates on project planning control to the database platform and support key KPIs presentation to Leadership team.
  • Conduct meetings with various stakeholders to align on project planning considering all limitations and constraints.  
  • Expertise in project status monitoring, analyzing critical milestones, generate early warning mechanism and support expediting of project schedule activities.

Skill/Experience Requirements:
  • Candidate must have 8 plus years of experience developing project schedules using Primavera P6 for capital projects through entire project life cycle
  • Project Controls:  Candidate shall demonstrate ability to provide oversight in schedule control on all assigned projects.
  • Risk:  Candidate should have experience analyzing project schedule risks throughout the project. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicable computer software packages.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Full-time position, typically 40-50 hours a week, but additional hours required as dictated by demands of the business

Travel Requirements, if any (please indicate percentage):
  • Approximately 25% travel, sometimes with short notice and extended stays to facilities.
