Are you a QA/QC manager who is looking for a new 12-month contract on a 28x28 rotation?

Key Accountabilities:
 
  • Manage and lead a team of designers, architects, and other professionals involved in the design phase of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, clients, and contractors, to conceptualise, create and refine design plans.
  • A minimum of [ten (10)] years of experience in construction design, with a proven track record in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Application of engineering expertise to address structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental considerations within the design process. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design plans into the overall project scope. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to validate design concepts and resolve technical challenges/queries during the project lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of design and engineering principles, construction techniques, building codes, industry standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with them throughout the design process.
  • Proficiency in design software/tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and familiarity with BIM (Building.
  • Lead the engineering team to distribute satisfied requirement engineering package to support tendering process.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software.
  • Understand project objectives, requirements, and constraints.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of design concepts, plans, and specifications in accordance with project timelines and budgetary considerations.
  • Review and analyze design documentation, drawings, and models to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to project specifications. Conduct thorough assessments to mitigate design-related risks.
  • Develop and optimize construction project Quality Assurance management plan, procedures and specifications.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the design team, encouraging the exploration and integration of new technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling for design activities, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and reviews to communicate project progress, milestones, and potential risks to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate external consultants and vendors to leverage specialized expertise and resources for specific design requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost-efficiency, and sustainability. Evaluate materials, methods, and technologies to enhance project performance and environmental impact

Qualification:
 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum [ten (10)] years of experience in project construction design/quality management, with a proven track record in a managerial or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles, construction techniques, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in design software/tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software.
