The Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the QHSE Management System for the Project. The QHSE Manager will also be responsible for promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization, the project and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing QHSE Management Systems, as well as experience auditing against ISO standards. He or she will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be responsible for interacting with all levels of employees within the organization and the Client.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Implement and maintain the QHSE Management System
  • Monitor performance against QHSE objectives and targets and take corrective and preventative actions as necessary.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Undertake regular audits of the QHSE Management System and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions to address any non-conformities.
  • Keep abreast of developments in QHSE legislation and best practice and make recommendations for changes to the management system as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit reports on QHSE performance to senior management.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and certification bodies as necessary.
  • Train employees in QHSE procedures and promote a culture of QHSE awareness within the organization.
  • Organize and deliver QHSE awareness campaigns and initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of QHSE training.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in a QHSE role, with at least 5 years in a management position
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful QHSE programs.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
