Our client, a global Oil and Gas Operator, is currently seeking a Quality Advisor (Mechanical) for an 18-month contract with the potential to extend. This role will be Perth based with regular visits to the site required.
The successful candidate will be a QAQC professional with ISO9001 Quality management requirements. previous auditing experience will be an advantage, but essential to have a sound mechanical (Flange management / static equipment) knowledge / qualification Trade or engineering.
Key Job Responsibilities:
•Promote a positive safety culture by active participation in development, implementation, and enforcement of the HES procedures for Reliability & Integrity, including TAR activities across Gorgon and Wheatstone producing assets
•Lead the promotion of Quality Assurance as an operational discipline in support of Process Safety, Reliability & Integrity
•Understand the LNG asset Safety Case’s (Gorgon & Wheatstone)
•Promote a sound Quality Culture by interpreting quality requirements as an Operational Discipline that underpins Process Safety and assures Fatality Prevention of our people and assets.
•Assist in the development and implement Quality Management governance and ensure 3rd party contractor quality management, assurance and control resourcing plans are in place and functioning for all M&R and Project functions across the ABU
•Responsible for efficient 3rd party contractor governance and management in the development and execution of Quality Management Plans and associated QA/QC activities
•Ensure all aspects of the Company asset integrity and reliability model FIRM 1000 are being adhered to following all the Quality requirements as mapped out in this standard.
•Review, assist in the implementation of our PMC’s and 3rd party contractor governance and management in the development and execution of Quality Management Plans and associated QA/QC activities across all M&R & Project functions.
•Ensure our PMC’s, 3rd party contractors’ vendors and suppliers comply with contractual requirements and performance standards
•Ensures appropriate level KPIs are developed and implemented to monitor the effectiveness of QA department. Monitor and control the performance of Quality across Operations and report on performance against agreed measures and KPIs. Identify and evaluate performance issues arising from Quality and initiate corrective actions.
•Working jointly with the FEI & Project Groups, will develop Quality Assurance/Quality Control Standards for fixed equipment repair/alterations and other critical asset types ensuring these comply with local jurisdictions and recognized engineering standards.
•Lead, review and provide guidance for supporting Fabrication, Maintenance and TAR governance activities covering fixed equipment, Flange management, rotating equipment, Mechanical based skills sets.
•High level of engagement with ABU Engineering to assist and guide with development of Fixed Equipment Inspection processes for all ABU Assets.
•Assist with the implementation and ongoing development / improvement of the Quality Management System and Quality Management Plans to support ABU operations and achieve safe and reliable operation. Ensure adequate deployment to, and use by respective teams, in a manner that meets ABU OE and contractual requirements.
•Work Package Documentation review and provide guidance and training on compilation, distribution, and systems of records management.
•Contribution to the ABU Maintenance Quality Audit Schedule act as lead auditor and team member when conducting audits during routine Maintenance work, Turnaround Events, technical projects, and off-site Vendor premises.
•Responsible for identifying and/or managing quality non-conformances in conjunction with originators and discipline SMEs for static equipment.
•Promoting Audits and Non – Conformances as effective improvement tools to assure Integrity of plant and equipment and the Health and Safety of personnel and protection of the environment. Ensure and validate that the appropriate level KPIs are developed and implemented to monitor the effectiveness of Execution activities. Monitor the performance of Quality across Operations and report on performance against agreed measures and KPIs. Identify and evaluate performance issues arising from Quality and initiate corrective actions.
•Working jointly with the Integrity Group, will develop Quality Assurance/Quality Control Standards for fixed equipment repair/alterations and other critical asset ensuring these comply with local jurisdictions and recognized engineering standards.
•Engages with numerous Maintenance and Capital contractors, IMPACT core teams, engineering groups, and Quality management team to assist with preparation and execution of successful events. Including acting as the Quality team lead for TAR events
•Thorough knowledge of Australian standards, American Codes, LNG Facility specifications, and technical data resources such as Vendor OEMs to determine minimum requirements for quality verification of equipment during Maintenance, Repair, and Installation of equipment.
•Manages changes and additions to quality control documentation in conjunction with the ABU Maintenance Quality and Inspection Team leader.
