Role: Quality Excellence Engineer
Based: Monaco

Duration: 12 months (renewable)
NES Fircroft are currently looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for supporting quality assurance efforts in yard and supplier qualification activities. They will also be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of internal and external audits, providing essential inputs for project tenders and early proposal stages, and assisting with critical quality investigations.

NES Fircroft are currently looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for supporting quality assurance efforts in yard and supplier qualification activities. They will also be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of internal and external audits, providing essential inputs for project tenders and early proposal stages, and assisting with critical quality investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review quality assurance documentation related to supplier and yard qualifications promptly, ensuring it meets required standards and is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve documentation processes.
- Conduct the planning and execution of internal, certification, and qualification audits within GRS. Prepare and review audit documentation, ensuring thorough coordination with auditees. Complete audit reports in a timely manner and ensure that corrective actions are appropriately followed up.
- Track the status of audits and audit findings regularly to ensure timely completion. Support the implementation of systems to monitor and report progress on corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the department and support the implementation of initiatives to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
- Actively contribute to improvement initiatives across the organization, aligning efforts with broader organizational objectives.
- Assist in ensuring GEMS compliance and supporting enhancement activities, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
- Participate in independent quality investigations outside of project activities when necessary, supporting thorough analysis and resolution.
- Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and contribute to the development of corrective action plans. Support effective implementation and follow-up.
- Report key findings, issues, and recommendations to Quality Excellence Manager, providing insights that support decision-making.
- Support the integration of quality assurance requirements into tenders and proposals. Review related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues, support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and ensure alignment with quality objectives.
- Contribute to promoting a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization, helping to embed quality standards in all activities.
- Support the development and delivery of awareness/training programs on quality processes and procedures, ensuring the team is well-equipped to maintain high-quality standards.
Qualification Requirements:
Education Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related quality discipline, with a focus on quality management or relevant field.
- Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent standard, demonstrating proficiency in auditing quality management systems.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including at least 2 years in a senior-level role. Proven project experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of Project Management Fundamentals, Engineering principles, lifecycle and assurance processes, and construction processes, including fabrication and special processes.
- Proven expertise in Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9000, ISO/TS 29001, and ISO/IEC 80079-34, with in-depth knowledge of relevant processes and interfaces. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including quality assurance techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency with quality investigation tools and methodologies, including handling investigations of non-conformance and major quality incidents. Well-versed in root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA).
- Strong knowledge in welding, coating, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), preservation, and Ex (explosive atmospheres). Relevant certifications are an added advantage.

- Risk Management Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with project quality, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure project success and adherence to quality standards.
- Advanced Auditing Skills: Strong auditing skills with meticulous attention to detail, capable of developing comprehensive audit plans and evaluating risks inherent in project processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at various levels. Proficient in technical writing to produce detailed audit reports and quality documentation.
- Influential Persuasion: Ability to present compelling arguments and advocate for quality initiatives effectively, helping to drive consensus and support among team members and stakeholders.
- Adaptability and Prioritization: Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. Capable of prioritizing workload effectively and collaborating as a team player to achieve project objectives.
