Quantity Survey Manager

• We have 4 or 5 qs, all from Asian countries.
• Our method of measurement is client'Work Requisition 4th Edition (WR4)'.
• We have a lot of subcontractors; they are shared between the qs.
• The QS Manager is in charge of and manages all of the qs.
• He/she needs to manage the qs on typical day-by-day matters (claims out and in, payment claims, etc), and, the whole of the project works are subject to remeasurement, so we are remeasuring every element of the works which is a big ongoing task.
• Claims IN which are not so complicated should be handled by the qs, and the qs manager needs to administrate the qs work.
• More complicated claims will be dealt with by the qs/qs manager with our claims manager.
• I would see that we need an experienced QS, who has plenty of years of doing taking-off, preparing bills of quantities and should be used used to managing a team of QSs.
