Job Details
Location: Lima OH--Work can be done remotely but periodic site travel will be required, more often in the first few months.
Hours: 40 hours per week—Some OT will be required.
Pay Range: $75-$85/hr. plus expenses paid for site travel. $151 daily per diem offered for candidates willing to do a full onsite relocation.
Duration: Contract to Hire
Scope: The role is assigned to support the Lima Refinery Project Management Team by preparing and maintaining multiple project schedules from feasibility studies to the planning and implementation phases to ensure that projects present a realistic schedule and reliable execution plans and ensuring key stakeholders are informed and aligned.
This role will be working with both third-party contractors and internal clients and requires strong customer service and communication skills to align with the needs of the individual project managers and Major Projects leadership. Throughout the life cycle of the projects, the Project Scheduler liaises with various stakeholders such as: members of Project Management, Consulting Engineering Firms, Corporate Project Services, Construction and Operations teams, external EPC contractors and external construction contractors. As such, the project scheduler will be required to understand project delivery across all life cycles and be able to communicate full project scope.
Work Experience:
• 10 years experience in project scheduling or combination of planning and scheduling
• Experience with engineering projects and/or construction, preferably in an owner's representative capacity
Job Description:
• Develop resource-loaded level I, II, III & IV integrated project schedules under the direction of the Project Managers and Project Controls Manager.
• Build & maintain the master schedule for the Lima Refinery project portfolio.
• Integrate schedules of EPC firms and construction and establish logical work sequences to fit priorities identified by Project Execution strategy.
• Organize and facilitate interactive project planning sessions.
• Coordinate with estimating and project cost specialists for cost & schedule alignment.
• Consolidate the progress and performance reporting for the project from EPC and construction; support Construction Management Team (CMT) for monitoring construction progress.
• Produce reports and analysis using Primavera and other systems and coordinate the schedule interface between all groups as well as identifying problems and making recommendations to project managers.
• Report baseline schedules against plan (dashboard) and provide management reports as requested by project management team.
• Interface with supply chain management for schedule activity inclusion and progress updates.
• Participate in developing planning/scheduling related procedures and template
• Review schedule data, identify and acquire information needed to complete work logics to interface between all stakeholders.
• Ensure all schedule changes are documented through change management system as per project requirement.
• Create and present schedule basis for assigned integrated schedules.
• Perform manpower resource loading for assigned schedules as required.
• Participate in yearly work planning meetings with area portfolio managers.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify and report activities which have critical or potential impact on schedule
Requirements:
• Experience with engineering projects and/or construction, preferably in an owner's representative capacity, in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably refining or chemical projects
• Expert proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6
• Developing Portfolio or Program Summary Master Schedules with various WBS methodologies
• Importing multiple schedules into an integrated master schedule and assigning dependencies and logic links enabling the IMS to ebb and flow based on results of imported data
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Office Products (Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Thorough knowledge of Engineering, Supply Chain, Fabrication, and Construction processes as part of project execution
• Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Prior experience in project completion and turnover, with an understanding of applicable constraints impacting successful turnover to operations
• Proven ability to collaborate with people from various disciplines to achieve goals
• Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills with ability to plan, prioritize and deliver quality results
• Team player with strong leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to effectively guide a project team
• Strong results driven orientation and ability to improve processes for higher business performance
• High attention to detail and an ability to keep information organized while working with confidential information
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple concurrent assignments.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively guiding multiple project teams and communicating across business functions in an effective and professional manner

Special Skills/Nice to Have:
• Project Management Institute - Scheduling Professional designation (PMI-SP)
• Thorough understanding of Oil & Gas Refining and related operations would be an advantage
• Experience developing and facilitating integrated planning sessions with various disciplines, external contractors and internal contributors
• Ability to translate Project strategy into a Project Controls functional plan
• Ability to think tactically and strategically with an ability to lead and manage change
• Expertise using Power BI to analyze and present project controls data
